19 New 20mph Enforcement Sites

Following the change in default speed limit, we have continued to review driver behaviour and engage with communities across Wales. We will consider enforcement where collisions have happened that resulted in someone being injured, communities have raised concerns, or in areas where vulnerable road users and vehicles mix e.g. near schools or community facilities.

19 mobile enforcement sites will be introduced across Carmarthenshire after concerns were raised by communities. These sites have been assessed using our enforcement criteria and analysed for evidence of road safety risk.

We have also worked closely with Carmarthenshire County Council to ensure that these locations are not being considered as part of the 20mph exceptions review.

Enforcement will be introduced at the following locations from Tuesday 7th May.
