I told him, in my business, any driver that's available takes whatever vehicle is sitting in the yard - so how am I supposed to keep track?
Being fined a grand was a bit of a shocker though. So now I've ordered log books for every driver to sign in when they take a vehicle out and sign off when they bring it back.
Simple really. Can't imagine why I hadn't thought of it before.
