Employees will respond if they are given the right information and can see that you are committed to putting new working procedures in place to support them. This could involve:

• Reminding all drivers (including agency staff) that speed limits vary for different types of vehicle and that they must drive within the appropriate speed limit for that vehicle at all times.
• Making employees aware of the consequences of their actions - not only in terms of the dangers of speeding, but also the potential cost to both themselves and the company.
• Working with your employees to continually review workloads and delivery schedules.
• Making sure each driver has a copy of the accompanying 'Information for Employees' leaflet, providing valuable information on the perils and potential penalties of speeding as well as useful tips on the steps they can take to keep their speed in check in all driving conditions.
• Visiting our website on a regular basis, not only to keep employees up to date on key issues affecting them as drivers of company vehicles but to get the latest information on safety camera locations in your area.
• Knowing the information yourself. Please read 'Information for Employers' leaflet (PDF). We also have a 'Director's Pack' which is available to download which includes information for both employers and employees."
• Contacting us to obtain, 'Know Your Limits' dashboard stickers which are available bilingually. These stickers state the speed limits for different classes of vehicles on different types of roads. With these stickers in your vehicles there really is no excuse for not knowing the appropriate speed limit and sticking to it.
