  • Motorcyclists only do an average of 3,500 miles per year.
  • In 2008, 723 casualties injured on roads in Wales were motorcyclists.
  • On average: 45 motorcyclists die per year in Wales, 500 die per year in the UK.
  • You are 30 times more likely to die from riding a motorbike in Wales than driving a car!
  • URBAN - Most problems are associated with junctions and filtering. It is not always the bikers fault at junctions but we need to be defensive.
  • RURAL - Most problems are associated with left-hand bends. Normally about 90% biker error.
